# What is Rapid Reader?

> Speed reading reimagined with RSVP technology

Rapid Reader is a speed reading application that uses **RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation)** technology to help you read faster and with greater focus.

## How RSVP Works

Traditional reading requires your eyes to move across lines of text, which consumes time and mental energy. RSVP eliminates this by displaying words one at a time in a fixed position, allowing your brain to process text more efficiently.

Each word is displayed with an **Optimal Recognition Point (ORP)** - a highlighted letter that helps your eye focus instantly, reducing the cognitive load of finding where to look.
